Understand Posting Schedule Slots

The Purpose of Posting Schedule Slots is to transfer Labor details from completed Schedule Slots to Labor records on the Work Order Items, Labor Tab. The transfer from the Schedule Slot includes total Time spent and all repair details already entered on the Slot itself (see Slot Details). This includes Parts on the Slot Details Items Tab, which transfer to the Work Order Items - Parts Tab.

The Labor history (and also Parts-used information) from workers out in the field is necessary for final billing in the case of Service Calls and for costing and profit and loss on all Work Orders, including Projects.

In addition to transferring Labor details, the Posting Process will also allow you to easily Record Parts for the Schedule Slot for any Parts not yet added but used during the assignment.
