Manage Layout Views

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

You will easily learn how to Manage Layout Views. These are a very powerful tool in the Schedule Board. After selecting and arranging all the visual settings you desire for a certain purpose, you can name and save this Layout View, in order to use it again in the future.

For instance, you might have a set of Technicians assigned to a specific type of work needed only occasionally. You do not need their names displayed on your daily Schedule Board. So you could create a Layout View for just this group, save it, and when the time comes to schedule them, select it from the Layout View lookup box.

Tip: Remember that you can open multiple Schedule Boards at the same time and switch back and forth between several by selecting Bottom Tabs for Navigation.

You can save one or more of these Schedule Board elements in a customized Layout View:

Selected Time Period (Time Scale, Day, Week, Month)
Single or multiple Dates and the Group By selection
Selected Technicians
Number of Visible Columns
Selected Column Order
Open Work Orders / Slots Tab
Window border settings
Auto-Hide (select/deselect Pin at upper right)
Show in DataView selection

Note:

It is best to save specialized settings to their own Layout View name.

Reminder: The settings last used on a given Layout View are saved when you exit. This happens even with the Default View, so be aware that the Schedule Board will always open to the Default View, with the last used settings.

After changing or creating a new Layout View, remember to re-select the Default View before you exit, in order to leave the Default screen as others expect to find it.
