DataView Menu Functions

The DataView Menu Functions are explained in the table below. To access the DataView Menu, right-click anywhere in the column header section of any DataView. When you exit the screen, none of these functions will change the default view used when you enter the screen. However, you can Save and Reuse DataView Layouts.

The DataView Menu and its functions:

Sort Ascending	Sorts column where clicked (See also, Sort Columns)
Sort Descending	Sorts column where clicked (See also, Sort Columns)
Clear Sorting	Clears Sort from column where clicked (See also, Sort Columns)
Group By This Field	Creates Group By Box containing this field
Group By Box	Creates empty Group By Box for multiple fields
Footer	Adds a Summing Footer
Group Footers	Adds Summing Footer for each Group, subtotals and grand total
Remove This Column	Removes column where clicked (See also, Field Chooser)
Field Chooser	Sets up Field Chooser to add or remove columns
Alignment	For numeric or date column clicked, aligns to left or right
Best Fit	For column clicked, expands to full width of the field
Best Fit (all columns)	Expands all columns to full width of their fields
Show Filter Row	Adds a first row where you can enter Filter Logic into fields
Date/Time Handling...	For Date field name clicked, see Date/Time Handling
Print DataView	Creates report in Preview Mode, allowing review and print.
Export DataView To...	Exports DataView To... Microsoft Excel, XML File or Text
DataView Layout...	Allows you to Save and Reuse Layouts
Mail Merge...	Set up Merge Template or Run Mail Merge
